Don't you just love a heartwarming movie on a Friday night? I just finished watching "Henry Poole Is Here", another redbox bargain. it was simply lovely. It made me want to make a movie, tell a story, or just get to know a neighbor. Here's to unique, inspiring 'PG' films!

brock's 30th

Brock turned 30th last month. To celebrate I threw him a surprise "spy" party, at our local laser tag place. I had too much fun designing these invitations, and with 30 guests the night was a blast.

One of my new years goals is to start shooting again. While looking for inspiration i stubbled upon Aran here, her pictures are beautiful, fresh and mouthwatering. I'm motivated not only to shoot, but to get baking.

projects

We've been in our house just over a year, and it's been projects projects ever since. We took some time off from our house this fall, and now that the hoildays are over (boo) it's time to get going again. First on our list is the subway tile backsplash.


We're also starting to plan the layout and design of our basement, as we will begin construction this summer. I'm defiantly wanting to do some cool molding down there. Here's some inspiration from KB + Martha Stewart Homes.

clean house

I love to have a clean house, but it doesn't always show. Brock once called us 'the dirtiest neat freaks', because although we like to clean with much care and precision, it only happens once a week at best. I've just finished the weekly rounds, and thought I'd take a snapshot of our bed, looking very pretty with it's new bedding that my mum got us for Christmas.
